What Does it Take to Become an ASHA-Trained Massage Therapist?

Qualifications for (CMT) Program

To attend ASHA, you are required to...

  • Be 18 years old or have written parental consent.
  • Be a high school graduate or have a GED.
  • Be of sound moral character.
  • Successfully complete other ASHA Admissions Procedures (Specified Below)

Procedures for (CMT) Program

Here's an overview of the ASHA Admissions Process. You will receive more detailed instructions as you go through each step.

  1. Submit completed application with $50 fee
  2. Complete Admission Forms (Getting Started Packet is received after application is submitted)
  3. Schedule Entrance Interview with Dr. Stan Dawson
  4. Bring Key Admissions Forms to Interview
    a. Personal Information Form
    b. Self Exploration Essay
    c. Proof of High School completion
  5. Acceptance into the Program occurs after Interview
  6. Make a deposit of $500 to guarantee your spot*
  7. Provide additional Admissions information by the start of class

* The $500 deposit may be covered by Federal Financial Assistance for those students who qualify.
